cyrilis A little gift ... so many details and spot-on instrumentation ; it's a mind blowing soundtrack, it's about life, matters, environment. Captured and textured so well, piano guidance, crystal clear 'less is more' making it all the way to reflection and emotion. Stunning release! Favorite track: Feathered Dream Bells.

Scott It's interesting to hear music from your earlier formative years, thanks for the release! I rarely get lost in music as readily as I do with this album, really stunningly beautiful

about

Arcadia is a body of work that sits between the 'Aqueous' project and my first solo release with Disco Gecko Recordings, The Silent Cartographer. With this album, I am starting to explore the use of field recordings as texture and also the piano as a main guiding instrument. Originally only circulated as a CDr, I 'rediscovered' these pieces by chance and was drawn to their clarity and simplicity.

The cover is a photograph of Salisbury Plain, an area of the UK that I grew up in. It was taken as part of an arts project that retraced a journey by the author Laurie Lee, undertaken in 1934. As such it links where I live now, with where I lived then.

about

Andrew Heath Stroud, UK

Ambient, piano based, lower-case music. Quiet and intimate - it explores sounds from both acoustic and electronic sources, along with processed field recordings and gathered, ‘found’ sounds. This music is not static though. It drifts. It constantly shifts and creates new maps that are full of change but listen carefully and you’ll also hear quiet, random glitches or shimmering dissonances. ... more
