about

Dispatches is a collaboration across continents and was originally released by Giraffe Tapes on cassette.

With a mutual admiration of each others work, Mi Cosa de Resistance, Argentinian ambient musician and I started working together across the geographical distances between us, enjoying the process of building texture based pieces. Having worked with Anne Chris Bakker before on several album projects, I then invited the Dutch ambient guitarist to join us.

Informed by the quieter times imposed upon us all and given free rein to explore texture and tape driven sound washes these pieces flow and meander as a river does, sometimes pausing and sometimes pushing on but always with a sublime sense that carries the listener on an dreamlike journey.

about

Andrew Heath Stroud, UK

Ambient, piano based, lower-case music. Quiet and intimate - it explores sounds from both acoustic and electronic sources, along with processed field recordings and gathered, ‘found’ sounds.
